Junior Systems Administrator

We are currently seeking a Junior Systems Admin with the ability and desire to engage in challenging hands on technical work. Servicing our customer base will take personnel through most of Maryland, D.C and Virginia. Candidates will have the drive for continuous learning as well as a high desire for teamwork. As a technology based company striving for excellence, we are looking for applicants who have experience with the following:

Job Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of MS Windows 2003/2008/2008R2, Exchange, Windows Client Operating Systems, Group Policy, Active Directory, SMS and group policy based management
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft products, networking & servers
  • Skilled in computer hardware installation troubleshooting and firefighting

  • Cisco routing and switching, networking and network design
  • Quality of service and service availability systems
  • Security, Firewall and Intrusion systems

Desired Experience:

  • Fundamentals of IT Operations & 1 – 3 years Helpdesk experience
  • 2 – 4 years Production experience in multi-server environment


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time/project management skills
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to lift objects over shoulder height that weigh 40 pounds and cooperatively lift 80 pounds or more
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within MD, DC, VA
  • No Visa Sponsorship. Must be a US Citizen

As a Systems Admin with RedZone Technologies you can expect to gain hands on experience with the following technologies: Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, HP, SonicWall, IDS, firewalls, routers and switches. Responsibilities can include but aren’t limited to: technical integration, troubleshooting and issue resolution, technical assistance for pre-sales work, working within a technical team, continued learning and knowledge sharing with internal staff and customers.
